Operating the Regional Program for Gifted Children on behalf of the Israel Ministry of Education, it became apparent to the Technoda staff that far too few Givat Olga children were being found eligible to participate. To redress the imbalance, a special program has been devised, called the Excellence in Science Project. Like the Regional Program, it also provides a rich learning experience for a select number of talented pupils, taking special care to address the special needs of children from immigrant families.

Excellence in Science uses the worlds of science, technology, social science and art to nourish the natural curiosity and cultivate a continuing interest in learning and discovery. Not least, it also works to improve their written, oral and computer skills.
